Derryck Nasib

French Horn

 

Derryck is currently in his fourth year at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Greenwich, studying the French Horn. He began playing the French Horn at the age of 13 when he joined the Sutton Music Service and started having lessons with Adam Walters. He has performed with the Music Service at venues such as Fairfield Halls in Croydon, the Royal Festival Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall. Derryck was the 2009 winner of the coveted Cheryl Jenkins award for outstanding performance in the music service. Derryck’s introduction to the concert platform came at the age of 6 when he had a cameo role in Porgy and Bess for the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
